    West Virginia University's Eberly College of Arts and Sciences seeks a Facilities Coordinator. This position serves the largest academic college in the university and performs critical management functions related to construction projects, renovations, furnishings, security (electronic locks) and space allocation. The position functions with a high degree of independence, serving 26 buildings valued over $250 million, covering three campuses.     ConsensusDocs Publishes New Standard Contract for Public State and Federally-assisted Projects

    The ConsensusDocs Coalition is publishing a new standard contract with integrated general conditions for a public works project.  ConsensusDocs tailored the terms and conditions and oriented them for public works owner projects that use state public funding or federal financial assistance.  This new standard contract document is expected to be particularly helpful for local and state governments that are looking to use an off-the-shelf contract solution.

    Owner and Contractors Protective (OCP) policy worth investigating.

    With a number of states limiting the coverage of an additional insured and limiting the breadth of indemnification clauses in construction contracts, a particular type of policy known as “Owner and Contractors Protective” (OCP) may be worth a look in evaluating that policy as a part of the overall risk management strategy.
