Governance

The responsibility for governing an association like COAA typically rests with a volunteer board of directors, operating according to a set of bylaws and working in close collaboration with the organization’s chief staff executive to set and adjust strategic direction, provide necessary resources, and make key decisions, which the staff then implements.

Maintaining that strategic focus is at the core of governance, which must occur in compliance with applicable laws and association-specific bylaws and policies that frame & guide COAA’s operations as a tax-exempt organization.

In keeping with The COAA Way, we happily and transparently share those bylaws, policies, and more information about our Board of Directors.
