COAA-TX Hard Hat Tours: Shadow Creek Library

On June 17, the City of Pearland granted SpawGlass access to give COAA-TX participants a tour through the new prototype library under construction: the Shadow Creek Library will replace the existing 10,000 SF facility and add 29,000 SF for a total of 39,000 SF. It is a multi-function facility allowing for training, library services and activities, and tax offices. The building is intentionally positioned to incorporate the orientation of the sun to reduce heat load inside. Large spans of windows create an immersive experience, seemingly bringing the outdoors in, to establish a facility truly connected to the surrounding landscape.

COAA-TX and their Emerging Professionals (EPs) have been hard at work developing opportunities for the Hard Hat Tours Series. These events offer a sneak peek inside some of the area's most prominent projects before they open to the public. You don't have to be an EP to participate — all are welcome!
