In a gathering that epitomized collaboration and insight-sharing, Tracy Thomas, Managing Director of Construction & Security Management at the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO), and Howie Ferguson, Executive Director of COAA, kicked off the event with warm virtual welcomes, setting the stage for a day brimming with valuable discourse. 

The day unfolded with enlightening presentations, starting with Chris Dudding and Tamela Simpson of OBO, who provided a comprehensive overview of program challenges, ongoing initiatives, and future projections, offering attendees invaluable insights into the organization's operational landscape.

Patrick Reilly of the U.S. Department of State's Office of Acquisitions Management delved into the intricacies of the procurement process, shedding light on its significance within the organizational framework and equipping attendees with a deeper understanding of its nuances.

The Owners Round Table, moderated by Carlos Sanchez of McDonough Bolyard Peck (MBP), provided a dynamic discussion between attendees and experts, including OBO’s Chris Dudding, Laura Cameron from the Architect of the Capitol, COAA President and University of Maryland Baltimore County representative John Zahor, and Chris Payne, President and CEO of MBP. This session dove deeper into the day's themes, providing invaluable insights, addressing queries, and fostering interactive dialogue among participants.
