Speaker Bio
Steven Bennett an Associate Vice President who leads the Facilities Planning, Design, and Construction department at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) in the Texas Medical Center. Before joining the UTHealth Houston team, he was a Project Manager for a commercial door openings and hardware contractor. Steven has been with UTHealth Houston for 16 years working in the Facilities, Planning, and Engineering Department. During his time, he has also held the roles of Sr. Digital Controls Technician, Sr. Construction Project Manager, and Executive Director of Facility Operations. Steven has earned Associates Degrees in Instrumentation and in Mathematics, and also a Bachelor of Science in Control and Instrumentation Engineering Technology from The University of Houston – Downtown.
