Spencer Seals currently serves as the system Vice President of Real Estate, Construction, and Facilities Planning for Cook Children’s Health Care System. Spencer provides operational and strategic leadership to his teams comprised of architects, real estate professionals, project managers, construction professionals, and facility based support services. His teams manage Real Estate activities, master campus planning, design, and construction for all locations that make up the Cook Children’s expanding facilities portfolio.
Cook Children’s Health Care System is comprised of nine companies, including two medical centers, physician network, home health company, surgery centers, health plan, health services, and health foundation. For more than 100 years Cook Children’s has worked to improve the health of children in our communities and in our care by combining the art of caring with leading technology and extraordinary collaboration to provide exceptional care. This approach to pediatric care has earned Cook Children's a strong, far-reaching reputation with patients traveling from around the country and the globe to receive life-saving pediatric care.
At Cook Children’s Spencer has led the charge that, “world class care starts in world class spaces.” Over his tenure at Cook Children’s Spencer has overseen the largest expansion in Cook Children’s more than 100 year history. Throughout his career Spencer continues to advocate and champion LEAN methodologies in operational planning, contracting and project delivery.
Spencer received Bachelors of Science degrees in Psychology and in Behavioral Science and Health from the University of Utah and his Masters in Health Care Administration from Trinity University, located in San Antonio.
