A scholarly designer with a global mindset, Anca Lipan brings passion and precision to her role as architect and Studio Director at Baskervill, a multinational, multi-disciplinary design firm. Her expansive experience in project management reinforces her detail-oriented perspective and core belief that a successful project is built on successful collaboration. Anca shines when managing multifaceted projects with teammates and partners at all levels—whether an unforgettable memorial or a remarkable public building. Always ready to answer questions or lend a helping hand, Anca’s colleagues rely on her to keep projects running smoothly. Her wealth of knowledge and passion for mentorship has also led her to share her passion and expertise with others through the ACE Mentor program and other community outreach programs and student architecture camps for the past 15 years. Anca is an active member of both AIA Richmond and AIA Virginia and holds a Master of Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Planning from Romania’s Politechnica University of Timisoara.
