Speaker Bio
With over 40 years of experience as an architect, and practice leader Mr. Perez’s
experience includes a wide range of projects for public and private sector clients
including multiple award-winning projects. He has managed large multiyear programs and
projects for a number for public sector clients including, NASA Ames, NASA Goddard, and
NASA Langley Research Centers, US Postal Service, USCOE, NAVFAC, the GSA. Oscar
is the practice leader for Cooper Carry’s Government Studio and is a senior member of
Cooper Carry’s Science +Technology, Higher Ed Studios. In addition to his federal project
experience he has led projects for the University of Maryland System, University of
California Berkeley, University of Virginia and Virginia Tech. A number of his projects have
obtained LEED Gold and Platinum certification. He led NASA’s first Net-Zero building:
NASA Sustainability Base- a research and collaboration building at NASA Ames Research
Center. On the LEED Platinum Certified USG Biomedical Sciences and Engineering
Building, Mr. Perez was involved in the project from the proposal effort, through design
phases as the QC lead, and then managed the Construction Administration efforts on the
project.
