The Moffitt Discovery & Innovation Center is one of the flagship facilities within Moffitt Cancer Center’s new 775‑acre Speros FL Global Innovation Campus in Pasco County. Designed to accelerate breakthrough oncology research, the facility brings together multidisciplinary teams into a single integrated environment where scientific discovery can be rapidly translated into clinical application. At 250,000 square feet, the Center for Discovery & Innovation is one of the anchor research structures within the Speros district and sits within a broader cluster of research and biotech facilities that will ultimately span 16 million square feet across the campus.

Inside the building, state‑of‑the‑art wet laboratories support advanced molecular biology, cellular research, tissue culture, and experimental oncology, enabling programs that delve deeply into tumor biology and emerging therapeutic approaches. The research programs that will be housed within the building include some of Moffitt’s most advanced scientific domains. These include bioengineering initiatives aimed at developing next‑generation biomedical tools and diagnostic technologies; molecular oncology programs focused on cancer genomics, tumor evolution, and highly personalized treatment pathways; tumor microenvironment research that explores how cancer cells interact with surrounding tissues and immune systems; and cell and gene therapy development, supporting clinical applications such as CAR‑T therapies and other genetic‑based treatment strategies.
