This lecture will include in-depth analyses of these sections of the LEED Reference Guide for Building Design and Construction (BD+C) rating system. Actual project examples from all named sections will be detailed to the class.

- Review the overall purpose and structure of the USGBC's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system.
- Gain fundamental knowledge of the Energy & Atmosphere (EA) component of the LEED BD+C certification process.
- Gain fundamental knowledge of the Materials & Resources (MR) component of the LEED BD+C certification process.
- See/hear case study examples illustrating different approaches to the EA and MR components of the LEED BD+C certification process.
