COAA-MD/DC Presentation and Tour of AU's Meltzer Center for Athletic Performance

Join the MD/DC Chapter of COAA for a presentation and tour of the Alan and Amy Meltzer Center for Athletic Performance and Sports Center Annex at American University. This facility is AU's first building designed and constructed to earn LEED v4 Platinum and ILFI Zero Energy certifications. 

Learn from AU about the project challenges and milestones leading up to it's successful completion. The presentation and tour will highlight all aspects making this building LEED v4 Platinum, as well as how the projet was procured and then executed with the team. The 89,077 square foot facility opened in January 2026 and is AU’s first new athletics and health services facility in more than 30 years. 

This tour will not require PPE, as it's a completed project.
