The construction industry’s workforce challenges aren’t going away and Owners have an important role to play in what comes next.
Join the COAA-VA Chapter in Roanoke for a day focused on workforce development from the Owner’s perspective. We’ll bring together Owners, educators, contractors, designers, and workforce partners to explore how our industry is attracting new talent, developing the people already in it, and creating stronger connections between education and careers in the built environment.
Our host location provides the perfect backdrop. The new Roanoke County Career & Technical Education Center was designed to prepare students for the workforce and will give attendees an opportunity to see career and technical education in action.
The agenda is still taking shape, but expect practical conversations around topics such as developing the next generation of skilled professionals, industry and education partnerships, internships and apprenticeships, professional development, and lessons Owners can take back to their own organizations.
And because this is COAA, the goal isn’t simply to talk about the workforce problem ... it’s to share ideas, programs, and partnerships that Owners can actually use.

Associate + Owner Bring an Owner to COAA-VA! Registration includes admission for one Associate and one Owner guest. Introduce a client or colleague to the COAA-VA community while helping us grow Owner participation. Owner guest must be employed by an Owner organization.
