Why Should You attend?

 Great standards aren’t created in a vacuum. They work best when the people who set the expectations, translate the requirements, and build the project understand one another.

That’s what makes this workshop different.

Owners bring the vision, organizational requirements, lessons learned, and expectations for long-term performance.

Consultants and Designers translate those expectations into drawings, specifications, and coordinated design documents.

Contractors bring the constructability, cost, schedule, procurement, and field perspective needed to determine how those requirements perform in the real world.

When all three groups are part of the conversation, we can move beyond simply asking, “What should our standards say?” and start asking the more important questions:

• Are the Owner’s expectations clear and measurable?
• Can consultants consistently interpret and apply the standards?
• Are the requirements practical, constructible, and cost-effective?
• Where are standards creating unnecessary RFIs, change orders, or confusion?
• What lessons from completed projects should become part of future standards?
• How can we create standards that improve—not complicate—project delivery?

This workshop creates an opportunity for Owners, Consultants, and Contractors to learn from one another, discuss real-world challenges, and better understand how decisions made in one part of the project process affect everyone downstream.
