OTI Instructor Bio
Eric – who was named a principal of GWWO in 2020 – is a talented architect and dedicated client advocate who skillfully leads large and multi-faceted design teams for many of the firm’s education and cultural projects. His passion for designing environments for learning and interaction, both formal and informal, has included work on higher education campuses, K-12 schools, nature centers, visitor centers, and community centers.

Eric is aware of both design and construction trends, keeping a constant pulse on the marketplace to help clients achieve their goals for outstanding spaces for learning and collaboration—on time and within budget. He was also instrumental in GWWO’s implementation and continued use of Building Information Modeling technology, serving as an educator and speaker on its use and benefits.

In 2003, Eric received his Master of Architecture from Morgan State University in Baltimore while working as a carpenter and cabinetmaker during the day. Since then, he has volunteered his time with Morgan State as a guest juror and worked as an adjunct professor. In addition to his work with COAA, he chaired the AIA Baltimore’s Technology in Practice committee for many years – bringing educational programs focused on emerging technologies to the Baltimore construction industry. He now splits much of his free time between volunteering at the Believe in Tomorrow Children’s House at Johns Hopkins, coaching youth soccer, and keeping track of his three children and a new puppy.
