Professional Bio
I am currently a Principal Project Manager in the Facilities Design and Construction department at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. My team is responsible for the Medical Imaging and Perioperative/Treatment Room portfolio of institutional projects. My background prior to joining MD Anderson included the oil & gas, space flight, industrial design and construction, and healthcare facilities management industries.
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Industrial Engineering and received a Master of Engineering Management from the University of Houston Clear Lake.
I am licensed as a Texas Professional Engineer, hold the PMI PMP Certification, and have earned Six Sigma green and black belt certifications.
I have been a guest speaker at various facilities management and construction industry events, with a focus on leading and developing collaborative working relationships and the “softer skills” of executing projects and getting things done.
In my spare time, I enjoy making saw dust and transforming raw materials into something treasured.
