OTI Instructor Bio
Rick is a Senior Vice President at The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, a multi-billion-dollar construction organization with a reputation for excellence since 1909. Skilled in strategic visioning, planning, and alignment, he focuses on combining culture, behavior, and disciplined processes to drive transformative results.
Over a 45-year career in the construction industry, Rick has spent more than 20 years leading construction teams and optimizing team dynamics to improve project outcomes. He also served for more than 10 years as the company’s National Sustainability Leader and another 10+ years as its National Healthcare Leader. Currently, Rick oversees the company’s Industry Excellence Program, which spans more than 20 industries.
Rick earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Rick became a LEED Accredited Professional in 2002, an ASHE Certified Healthcare Constructor in 2010, and was accepted into the ULI Healthcare/Science and Technology Product Council in 2023.
Rick is also a Genius Spark Guide and is actively involved with Ripple Intent, having started a chapter in Boston where he frequently serves as a facilitator.
