Membership Information
COAA's membership includes public and private Owners and developers who procure and buy design and construction services, such as higher education institutions, healthcare systems, local, state and federal governement, and many more. It also includes the Associates who provide services to the Owners, in various ways, like an architecture firm, general contractor, engineering firm, owners reps, technology, etc. The COAA membership year runs a calendar year, from January 1 - December 31. New member dues will be prorated for the year by join month.
What is an Owner?
In addition to the Membership Types offered below, COAA offers an Industry Association/Business League membership, Educator membership, and Full-time Student membership. Contact the Membership Manager for more details on these member types. Membership Benefits
MEMBERSHIP TYPES
Associate - Service Provider
Open to employees of companies that provide products and services to Owners (e.g., builders, designers, consultants, sureties, software companies, attorneys, etc.).
Associate members are allowed full participation in the activities of the Association (except for governance matters). Associate memberships are seat based, not a firm-wide membership.
$1,050 annually | first* employee
$525 annual | each additional* employee

Owner - Organization
Open to any Owner institution or organization that regularly engages in construction activities as the entity who has the building need, space, and capital (e.g. higher education, healthcare, K12, local and state government, aviation, science and technology, etc.).
Membership includes one voting representative and unlimited additional representatives from the same organization being accorded regular membership privileges.
This does not include owners reps or owners of service provider firms.
Corporate Owner Clarification/Examples
$1,050 annually | unlimited employees
Owner - Individual
Open to any individual employed by an institution or organization who has the building need, space, and capital. Employer may be a public or private entity, such as a local, state, or federal government body or agency.

$370 annually | one person
Emerging Professional - Owner
For individuals 35 or younger who are recent college graduates or just entering the construction profession as a construction project Owner. You may be asked to provide proof of date of birth during the application process.
$185 annually | one person
Emerging Professional - Assoc.
For individuals 35 or younger who are recent college graduates or just entering the construction profession as an employee of a product or service provider; may be asked to provide proof of date of birth during application process.
$800 annually | one person
