9:45 AM - 10:45 AM Procurement and Project Management ... Aren’t We On the Same Team? This session is about the importance of a strong partnership between procurement and project management.  Speakers will talk through their collaborative approach to managing on-call CMAR projects, from solicitation to pre-con, GMP development, construction, and closeout.  They will use real examples to illustrate the importance of having open and honest communication between the two groups.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Towson's Smith Hall Presentation This presentation will talk about the renovation and expansion of Smith Hall (previously Science Hall Complex), diving into the geothermal aspects of the facility. This is a precursor to the after lunch tour of the space.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Maryland Building Energy Performance Standards Learn about MD's BEPS legislation requirements and how UMBC is tackling it with their Clean Energy Master Plan. This is an opportunity to ask questions from an expert!
