As Director of Construction for Cleveland Clinic Pen is responsible for the execution of a construction program of over $3.0B with $600+ million in annual spend. Pen joined Cleveland Clinic after 20 years with a national construction management firm and has served as Owner’s Representative for projects totaling several billion dollars in value, including the Miller Pavilion on the Cleveland Clinic main campus and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Pen has long recognized that projects with shared goals and strong relationships between stakeholders were distinguished by more reliable outcomes, higher customer satisfaction, less conflict, and were more personally rewarding. He has been a key driver in evolving Cleveland Clinic’s capital project delivery model; Owner lead teams that are mission driven, high performing, collaborative and committed, in a culture of respect, trust and transparency.
Pen is a founding board member of the Cogence Alliance and is active in COAA and LCI.
