Rich is a retired construction professional who previously served as Senior Vice President of Pepper Construction Group, President of Pepper Environmental Technologies, Inc., and Secretary of Pepper Construction Group and The Pepper Companies, Inc.

Rich earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering (Cum Laude) from the University of Notre Dame in 1971, and earned his Master of Science (MS) in Civil Engineering from Northwestern University in 1973. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois.

Rich began his career in construction in 1973 and has performed duties from project management to project executive for Pepper since joining the company in 1977.

He has served as officer-in-charge on several of Pepper’s major projects and his current responsibilities include corporate strategy, business development, and preconstruction services.

Rich is currently an adjunct professor and has taught courses in “Construction Management,” “Construction Estimating,” and “The Business Strategy of Construction” in the Master of Project Management Program (MPM) at Northwestern University since 1991. He is also a member of the Board of Advisors for Junior Achievement of Chicago and Catholic Charities of Chicago.
