COAA-TX EP Hard Hat Tour - TMC3

Posted By: Kiel Hawkins Get Involved, News,

Another successful hard hat tour in books led by COAA’s EP team out of Houston, TX. With the help of COAA Texas chapter members, the touring attendees viewed the first of many buildings on the TMC3 complex. https://www.tmc.edu/tmc3/master-plan/.

Attendees included owners, architects, engineers, contractors, trade partners, and suppliers wanting to catch a glimpse of what will be a state-of-the-art collaboration building. Funded by TMC, MD Anderson, UT Health, and Texas A&M University Health Science Center. Albeit hot, touring members caught a glance of what goes into the construction process behind the scenes as we walked from the job trailer to the building, trekking across dirt, concrete, and temporary plywood terrain to enter the building. At the point of this tour, the glass wall system was in place, but the air conditioning system was not installed and operational. As well, with no elevators in the building the touring members took flight to the stairs and out onto the open balcony overlooking the future of this enormous complex to be constructed. Thanks to all those who attended and we look forward to seeing more at future COAA EP hard hat tours.

If you did miss this tour do not worry as there will be plenty of future opportunities to tour other structures on this complex. Next up! University of Houston Hilton Hotel Expansion in October 2022.
